*This piece is both watercolor and chalk pastel, lots of fun!

Happy Halloween!

Since most of my pieces are weird and as my friends say "creepy" here are a few halloween-like doodles!

Medusa

One of my favorites :)

Some fun doodles :)

Everyone LOVES Dr. Seuss!

When I was little, my favorite books were the Dr. Seuss books. Recently, I had been asked to paint a baby room mural for a former teacher of mine. I had a blast doing this one!

My Newest Mural

So my newest mural (baby room mural) is a cartoon-like Floral/butterfly design, one of my favorites! It is simple yet fun, a perfect idea for your soon-to-be princess!

My Mural Painting Business!

So I finally got the courage to start my own mural painting business! This is one of the many ways for me to get myself out there and hopefully recognized. One of the first murals I created was for a good friend of mine. Personally I thought the mural would look better as a night scene but I just did what I was told :) I hope you all like it!

Self Portraits

One of the hardest things to draw/paint are self portraits. I'm not 100% confident in drawing them but the more practice the better!

Dancing in the Rain

Everyone has a fantasy in the rain. Whether its dancing, singing, or kissing the one you love in the pouring rain. This pastel drawing is one of my favorites. Everytime I look at it, I think about my own silly rain fantasies. I think about an old memory of my sister and I running around in the rain. One summer day (years ago), we were splashing in puddles in the street with our bare feet soaking in the mud, in our one piece bathing suits. It was a crazy sense of freedom for us because we knew our parents would NOT approve. We would run around screaming at the top of our lungs, our stomachs hurting from laughing so hard. The best part was trying to sneak back into the house without our parents knowing. Its silly to think that a picture like this can trigger such a great childhood memory. So I'm curious to know, whats your favorite memory in the rain? (Or a fantasy, not too graphic though! haha)

My art just gets weirder and weirder!

Once again I decided to create a drawing based off of Alice in Wonderland. But I must say this one is much creepier than usual! What do you guys think?

High School Art Assignments with a Twist

High School art teachers were always giving us boring projects. Since I took so many art classes in H.S, they had to put me into a drawing class that I had already taken before (I dont know how I managed that one). So I asked the teacher if she could possibly give me different assignments since I already did all of them before. I guess she was not too happy with this request so she decided to just ignore it. So I took matters into my own hands. When it was time for the "paper bag" assignment, I gave it a little twist. I tried to think of the most outrageous thing that could fall out of a paper bag, so I chose eye balls lol. I thought she was going to be furious with me but surprisingly she wasn't! She actually really liked it and apologized for not helping me challenge myself. So it turns out, even the most boring projects can be fun if you give it a twist!
Similar to the paper bag assignment was an animal assignment we were given. Only this time I had a different teacher who forced me to challenge myself. He told me to find a picture of an animal that I thought would be challenging and draw it. So I did what he told me. But then, he told me I had to give it a new twist. This was the first time that I ever tried "weave drawing" (I'm sure there is a more technical term for it but I'm just not sure what it is). This was one of the HARDEST things I have ever done. At some points, I thought my brain was going to explode when I needed to think about which "ribbons" needed to weave under, and which were weaved over. But when I finished, I was so excited to have learned a new technique. This is something that I will never forget about my art experiences in high school and it is something I would LOVE to teach others!

I Do More than Just Doodle!

I do more than just doodle! So far, I have only posted my drawings and paintings. But I also have a little experience with graphic design. It is not my strongest medium but I still love it! This work is from a photograph of my beloved dog, Maisie. I used Illustrator in order to create this piece and let me tell you, it was NOT easy! I give graphic designers SOO much credit for what they do. Even though this is not one of my stronger works, I am happy to say that I am proud of what I created :)

An Oldie!

So I was looking through some old paintings, trying to find some canvas that I can recycle since I am too broke to afford new ones and I found this one! I'm not sure if I should recycle it and paint over it, or leave it... What do you think?

Color, or Black and White?

So someone previously requested that I add some color to this drawing... Well there ya go! :) I'm not sure which is more appealing but let me know what you think!

Good vs. Evil

Once again Tim Burton has given me inspiration. This painting is only a part of the entire work. I decided to focus in on this part because of the comedic atmosphere. Jack Skellington is hanging onto the cliff by a thread as his evil other half points and laughs. I'm interested in hearing who you think the woman on the right should be (or stand for)...so what do you think?

An old drawing turned into new!

When I first created this piece, it consisted of only the girl in black and white and half of the hummingbird. This drawing sat in my sketchbook for about two years! (Like most of my work) Finally, I decided to finish it! What do ya think?

Finished! :)

Finally finished! The photo does not really give it justice lol but I'm happy that I finally finished a piece.

So frustrated!

For weeks now I have been going through a serious "artist's block" and cannot come up with new work. I have tried EVERYTHING!! From looking at old artwork, googling images, and looking at other artist's work, yet I still cannot come up with any finished pieces. This drawing is as far as I have gotten. Once again I'm in need of some help! Someone suggested I draw a tattoo on her arm which is an awesome idea but I would love to hear some other ideas. PLEASE help me out! Thanks!

The Nightmare Before Christmas!

One of my favorite movies of all time is The Nightmare Before Christmas. A number of my pieces are influenced by Tim Burton (as well as Alex Grey)...No other artist could beat Tim Burton's creepy and fun artwork. Although it is far fetched I DREAM to be as amazing as Tim Burton one day!

Losing my Mind!

Sometimes when I am sitting in the back of class, trying so hard to pay attention, I can't. Instead, I find myself drawing the most abnormal doodles you can imagine. This drawing describes how my brain felt during a three and a half hour class that felt like it was never-ending. I dont usually give my drawings titles, but I'm curious to see if anyone can come up with a funny/perfect title for this one...

Gotta Love Spongebob!

 SPONGEBOB!
One tv show that always makes me smile is Spongebob. When I'm a little down, Spongebob and Patrick will always cheer me up! Even though my parents cannot stand his voice, its music to my ears! :)

Alex Grey

Alex Grey has been a HUGE influence on most of my work. Both pieces are my own interpretations of two of his most incredible masterpieces. My dream would be to one day create work as amazing as his, but for now this is a start! If anyone can name which artwork this is based off of lets hear it :)

HELP!

So I have been working on this unfinished painting for over a YEAR now. With a lack of inspiration I desperately need help!! Any ideas are helpful :)
